In December 1992, Amer Haveric and his family arrived in Clearwater, Florida. They had escaped the war in Bosnia with little more than each other. They pinched pennies and opened a coffee shop. It didn't take long to notice that the part of the day they loved wasn't the counter. It was the roaster in the back.

In 1994, the shop became a manufacturer. The first machine Ambex ever built is still roasting today, in South Dakota.

Thirty years later, Ambex roasters work on every continent except Antarctica. Some are in first roasteries. Some run production floors. We never got big. We never wanted to. We're a family business, and every penny matters to us the way it matters to you. So we pass the savings on, one coffee bean at a time.

Today the second generation is in the shop. Amer's son Nedim, an engineer, works alongside him in everything. The bench, the builds, the phone. The next thirty years of Ambex are already at work.

Over thirty years, names around us have changed. Sales partners came and went. So did another company that once shared part of our name. What has never changed is this: the same family, the same shop, the same standards, building every machine. Every Ambex sold today is built, backed, and supported by us. No middlemen. No dealer. No one between you and the people who made your roaster.
