Privacy Policy
This page says what we collect on this website, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect when you contact us. If you request a quote or write to us, we get what you type: your name, email, phone, and your message. We use it to answer you and to prepare your quote. Our form service (Formspree) processes the submission and passes it to us. If you ask about financing, we share your contact details and your quote details, like the machine and pricing you asked about, with an outside equipment lender, and only then. The lender uses your information under their own privacy policy.
What we collect automatically. Our host and security provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs, like your IP address, to run and protect the site. We also use a cookieless page counter (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that does not identify you.
What we collect only if you say yes. With your consent from the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site gets used, and the Meta pixel to measure and improve our ads. Both set cookies and share data with Google and Meta under their own policies. If you say no, these never load and the site works exactly the same.
Tools that remember your numbers. Some of our calculators can save your entries (like your roast batches) in your own browser so they are there next time. That data stays on your device. We do not receive it.
What we never do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not show ads on this site. We do advertise Ambex elsewhere, and with your consent the Meta pixel helps us measure those ads. We do not collect payment card details on this site.
How long we keep things. Quote requests and correspondence are kept as business records. Analytics data is kept per the retention settings of Google and Meta, and we set those to the shortest these tools allow us to set.
Your choices. Use the cookie banner to say yes or no to analytics and ads cookies, and change your mind anytime through the Cookie Settings link in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no for analytics and ads cookies, unless you later choose yes in the banner. You can also ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by calling 727-251-9262 or writing to sales@ambexroaster.com. We honor these requests for everyone, not just where a law requires it. We may first check that you are who you say you are. And some records have to stay: anything we need for warranties, taxes, disputes, or other legal duties. If you are in a place with specific privacy rights (for example the EEA, the UK, or certain US states), those rights apply and we will honor them. If you are in the EEA or the UK, the section below spells them out.
If you are in the EEA or the UK. We are a small company in Florida. We do not market to Europe, but if you find us and want a machine, you are welcome. This section says how we treat your information, and it follows the shape of European privacy law (the GDPR, and the UK's version of it) whether or not that law reaches us. We are the company responsible for your information on this site, the "controller" in GDPR terms, and our name, address, phone, and email are at the top of this page. Everything else on this page applies to you too. This section adds to it.
Our legal bases. We use your information only when the law gives us a recognized reason, called a legal basis. Here are ours. When you ask for a quote, or ask about financing, our basis is taking the steps you asked for before a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). When we keep server logs to run and protect the site, answer your messages, and keep ordinary business records, our basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working business (Article 6(1)(f)), and you can object to this, see below. When you say yes to analytics and ads cookies, our basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), and you can take it back anytime in Cookie Settings. When the law makes us keep something, like tax records, our basis is that legal duty (Article 6(1)(c)). You never have to give us anything. But without contact details we cannot answer you or send a quote.
Your extra rights. Asking what we have, correcting it, and deleting it are covered above, for everyone. EU and UK law adds more, and we honor these too. You can ask us to pause or limit what we do with your information while a question gets sorted out. You can object to anything we do under legitimate interests. You can ask for the information you gave us in a machine-readable copy, to take elsewhere. And you can withdraw consent at any time. That stops future use and does not undo what was lawful before. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Use the same phone or email as above. We may first check that you are who you say you are, and we answer within a month, or we tell you why the law lets us take longer.
Where your information travels. We are in the United States, so your information comes here, and our providers process it here too. EU and UK law requires safeguards for that trip, and we use the approved ones. With our providers, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, with the UK addendum. Some providers are also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, and where that certification stands, it applies as well. Ask us and we will tell you which safeguard covers which provider, and how to get a copy of the clauses.
Complaints. If you think we have handled your information wrongly, please call or write first and give us the chance to fix it. But you do not have to. You have the right to complain to a data protection authority at any time. In the EEA, that is the authority in the country where you live, where you work, or where the problem happened. In the UK, it is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children. This site sells commercial roasting equipment and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will delete it.
Changes. If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date.
