Call us. We find the problem with you, ship the part free, and stay on the phone while it goes in. Most fixes end here, within days.

We come to you.

If it's not a simple fix, we come to your roastery and fix it at no charge, anywhere in the lower 48. Worldwide, parts ship free and we help by phone.

The warranty belongs to the person who bought the machine from us. It's not transferable. Keep your invoice. We keep our records too.

The Ambex warranty

Limited Warranty

Two years, parts and labor. We stand behind every machine we ship. Every new Ambex roaster is covered for two (2) years from the date of delivery against defects in parts, materials, and workmanship. If any part of your machine fails because of how it was made or assembled, we repair or replace it at no cost to you. That includes the labor.

How it works

You call us at 727-251-9262 and you'll talk to the people who built your machine. Then, in order:

  1. Parts and guidance. For most issues, we diagnose the problem with you on the phone, ship you the replacement part at no charge, and stay on the line while it goes in. Most warranty fixes end here, usually within days.
  2. We come to you. If it isn't a simple fix, we send our people to your roastery and repair the machine on site, at no charge for parts or labor. On-site warranty service is available within the continental United States. Outside the continental US, warranty service consists of no-charge replacement parts plus full phone and remote diagnostic support from the people who built your machine.

Used and rebuilt machines

A used or rebuilt machine bought from us has been gone through in our shop: inspected, serviced, and tested before it ships. It carries a one year parts and labor warranty from delivery, under the same terms as this document, with two differences. Coverage runs one year instead of two. And wear items are not covered on used or rebuilt machines. Belts, gaskets, seals, and drive components are inspected or replaced before the machine ships, and after that, maintaining them is part of owning one.

What's not covered

We're direct about this so there are no surprises:

  • Damage from operator error or misuse. This includes damage from operating contrary to the manual, for example fires resulting from chaff and creosote left to accumulate past the required cleaning intervals.
  • Skipped maintenance. The manual's cleaning and maintenance schedule isn't optional. Damage that results from ignoring it isn't a defect.
  • Unauthorized modifications. If someone other than us alters the gas train, electrical system, or controls, coverage on the affected systems ends. Want a feature added? Call us. We factory install options and warranty them.
  • Shipping damage. That's a carrier claim. We'll help you file it and get you running in the meantime.

What IS covered that others exclude: normal wear items, on every new machine. Belts, gaskets, seals, and drive components are covered for the full two years like everything else. No wear-item asterisk on a new machine. On used or rebuilt machines, wear items are the one exception, as the used and rebuilt machines section above says.

The fine print, kept short

  • This warranty is given by AMBEX Coffee Roasters & Grinders, Inc., 2080 A Calumet St., Clearwater, FL 33765, phone 727-251-9262.
  • Coverage applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. The warranty stays with the original buyer and ends if the machine is sold. Second owners can still call us for parts and paid support.
  • Warranty service requires the machine's serial number and your original proof of purchase. Keep your invoice. We keep our records too, and matching the two protects legitimate owners.
  • Replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

The legal limits

Repair, replace, or refund. That's the promise and the limit. If the machine has a warranty problem, we repair it or replace the part, as described above. If we can't make it right after a reasonable number of attempts, we'll take the machine back and refund what you paid us for the machine and its factory-installed options. Original freight, if you paid any, isn't part of the refund. Separately billed services aren't part of the refund either. We arrange the return freight, and the machine becomes ours again with the refund.

That is the exclusive remedy under this warranty and the full extent of our responsibility. Repairs done by anyone we didn't send or authorize aren't covered and aren't reimbursed. This document is the whole warranty.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Anywhere the law does not allow an implied warranty to be disclaimed, that warranty lasts only as long as this written warranty does. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state or country.

We're not liable for indirect losses. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND. That means we cover the machine, not the losses around it: lost profits, lost production time, spoiled coffee, substitute equipment, or damage to property other than the machine itself, including your building. This exclusion stands on its own: it applies even if the repair, replace, or refund remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some places don't allow this exclusion, so it may not apply to you.

Nothing in this warranty limits any liability the law doesn't let us limit, including liability for personal injury. If a court won't enforce one part of this warranty, the rest still stands. Every provision here is separate and survives on its own.
